Every parent knows that summer can be just as stressful as it is magical, and Virginia Martial Arts Center is here to take the stress away. Our incredible summer camp options give kids from across Chesapeake, Portsmouth, and Suffolk the chance to enjoy exciting, high-energy activities that will keep them active, engaged, and moving. Parents get to enjoy professional supervision for their children and relax knowing that every child is cared for and getting started on learning important life skills such as confidence, discipline, and respect.
Make this a fun and learning summer that can continue into the fall with our Transported After School Karate program. We are a licensed martial art school, not a daycare. Your child will have daily training in Japanese Karate where your child will learn self defense, exercise, discipline and self esteem through EARNING belt ranks found only in the martial arts. In addition, your child will go swimming, bowling, skating, play basketball, dodge ball, four square, board games, go to the movies, attend pizza parties, do arts and crafts along with Martial Arts classes and fitness activities everyday.

Summer Camps with Virginia Martial Arts Center Are Perfect For Anyone
No matter your child's prior experience with the martial arts, our summer camp program is the perfect out-of-school solution. Your child will be supervised by our professionally-certified instructors, kept active, and challenged with new skills. They'll also have a blast! If you're looking for a way to let your child have all the crazy summer fun that kids deserve but you're also seeking a full, engaging curriculum that will help them learn, Virginia Martial Arts Center has everything you need.
Drop off is between 7:00 am and 9:00 am. Pick up is between 5:00 and 6:15pm. Be sure to bring your lunch, a morning and afternoon snack. We have snacks and drinks for sale. You can register for the summer or choose a week or two that interests you. Special programs will be presented on various topics important for child safety and development. These specialized classes will include Drug Prevention, Stranger Awareness, Gang Avoidance, Positive Goal Setting, Good Citizenship, and Peer Pressure Management.
Our camps have limited space, so enroll early! Give your child the opportunity to join other kids from across Chesapeake, Portsmouth, and Suffolk in growing physically, mentally, and spiritually.
